Architectural Shingles - another name for asphalt shingles
that contain a dimensional visual effect once installed on the roof. (not a
3-tab shingle)
Box Vent - a low profile ventilation product that allows attic air to vent out the top of your roof. Composition Shingles - another name for asphalt shingles that contain a dimensional visual effect once installed on the roof. (not a 3-tab shingle) Culling - The act of splitting wood shakes vertically in order to make them thinner in order to fit into place. Decking - Either plywood or Oriented Strand Board that serves as the primary decking for the shingle to be nailed to. Dimensional Shingles - another name for asphalt shingles that contain a dimensional visual effect once installed on the roof. (not a 3-tab shingle) Dry In - the act of installing underlayment on the roof so that rain will not enter the structure before the roof is actually installed. |
